Create and Analyze Survey
SWOT Analysis - Step 2

- Select “Load”.
- Navigate to the file created and saved when the survey was created.
- Select the file.
- Upload is completed.

- Use the “Strengths and Weaknesses” and the “Opportunities and Threats” tabs to collate the responses to the “Participant Survey-Handout” surveys which were completed by the participants in the SWOT Analysis exercise.
- The participants have been assured that their responses will be anonymous. Keep them anonymous,
- As the responses are received by the Facilitator, they should be anonymized as “Respondent 1”, “Respondent 2”, etc.
- Enter the responses from each participant using the dropdowns.
- Enter a summary of the comments, if provided, in the comment section. There is limited display space, so just highlight the comments.
- The “Factor Flag” and the “Importance Flag” set the levels at which aggregated responses indicate a trend. The flags are preset at 66%, but may be customized for your use. Do not set flags at less than 51 %.
- Tabulation of the responses will be be completed by the application.
- You can save the app at any time, and then access it when you are ready to work on it.
- Don’t forget to save the application when you have completed the input.
- The principals of the company should participate in the survey.
- The purpose of this pre-meeting survey is to identify areas of concern in the business.
- Pay attention to what the data is telling you.
- Select the statement responses which are most contentious as topics for the actual brainstorming session.
- Summarize the comments so the highlights show in the comment box.
- If the “I don’t know” response is selected often for any of the statements, this would indicate an area where some training may be useful.
- When all input is completed, print the collation pages. Meet with Management to discuss which topics to highlight in the Brainstorming Session.
