The importance of documenting the entire construction process cannot be over-stated. From the first meeting with a prospect to handing the keys over to the happy client, the builder must be creating a paper trail of all activity on the project.

I will repeat the construction business mantra one more time — “If it isn’t written down, it didn’t happen”. It didn’t happen for the client, it didn’t happen for the insurance company, it didn’t happen for the judge.

Manage the risk of a construction project by documenting each step. This form will help you think about how to do that.
